What was the highlight of Hotel Terme Venezia Abano Terme
Nice stay, but few disappointments
I have a mixed fillings about my stay. Some things exceeded my expectations while some things surprised me in a bad way. Overall it was a nice stay and I do recommend visiting. We had a comfort room and it had everything we needed. Plenty of towels, cloth for saunas, all the necessary facilities and as the name suggest: comfortable. Parking is free, just beside the hotel on a street specifically designed for guests. Breakfast was good. Swimming pools exceeded my expectations, water was hot, even outdoors, very stylish and relaxing atmosphere.
Kitchen has strange timetables. Lunch is only until 13:30 so we end up hungry on our first day. We asked the staff if there is at least a microwave somewhere, as we had some pizza from night before, but they were not really helpful. I really don't believe there is no microwave in entire hotel. However the swimming pools have a bar so in the end at least we got a toast to make us last until the evening. Second disappointment was the massage. It was fully booked throughout the day. You can not book it on main reception (which we wanted the day before) so you can only come to the pool and hope for the best. I guess you need to stay multiple days ti organize it in advance. Also sauna has a weird timetable as it closes sooner than swimming pools. While pools stay open until 23h, sauna closes already at 20:30. That's strange, for me sauna feels best just before sleep. And the final disappointment was the dinner. The quality of the food does not match the 4 star hotel standards. I strongly recommend to just drive to the nearest restaurant instead. Both pork and salmon were dry and tasteless, the only good thing was wine and salad bar. Also they just shut down the lights before we were even finished. I would expect better from a 2 star motel. It sounds like a lot, but once again: our stay was satisfying. However there surely are things to improve.

Very relaxing weekend
Great pool and spa area, never too crowded . Very quiet place, clean and comfortable
We booked on booking com a room with wooden floor and a balcony, instead we were given a room with carpets, no balcony and a small old bathroom. The person at the desk said that it was an upgrade because the room was bigger, but we weren’t happy and we thought it was actually a downgrade. Another thing we were not satisfied with was the food. There was plenty of choices but the food wasn’t good, especially meat and fish, desserts and breakfast cakes.

Good value for the money
Everything was up to our expectations: wonderful spa and pools, abundant breakfast and satisfying room size. The staff was kind and the hotel was a few kilometers away from Colli Euganey.
The room was a bit dusty but this is a minor thing. Overall we were satisfied
